WELCOME TO THE SUMMER OF 2022!

Join us for fabulous arts events throughout June featuring a new exhibition at City Gallery, live poetry readings at 192 Brewing, live theatre at Farmers Market, and celebrating Kenmore’s first annual Youth Poet Laureate.

June 8 – AS IF THEATRE hosts the Kenmore Farmers Market nonprofit booth, 3-7pm at Town Square. All the world’s a stage and AITC is ready to entertain you with Kenmore Quickie skits and a bit of soft shoe. Learn more at asiftheatre.com.

June 10 – CITY GALLERY Artist’s Reception, 6:30-8pm at Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave NE. “Tropical Garden Night” features 17 works by local artist Anna Zachariah, as part of our ongoing series: Unexpected Neighbors. Step into Anna’s exploration of intricate shapes and stylized details evoking the sights and sounds of a midnight tropical garden. Exhibit runs June through July. June 11 – SPEAK UP POETS Jam, 6pm-7:30pm at the 192 Lake Trail Taproom, 7324 NE 175th St. Groove to the rhythms of local beatnik poets, share your own musings, lyrics and prose.. or hang out, grab a brew & listen in. Open mic poetry every 2nd Saturday ~ always family & dog friendly.

June 21 – YOUTH POET LAUREATE presented with honors at Kenmore City Council meeting, 7pm at city hall, 18120 68th Ave NE. AOK is proud to congratulate Kenmore’s first annual Youth Poet Laureate, Luke Burns, and Youth Poet, Sophie-Lorraine Smith. Both Inglemoor high school Juniors will reign throughout their Senior year representing Kenmore at reading events throughout the region and a community project.
